Monocle Magazine

...Said to be happy are those who pursue ideals and conquer their space from the smallest and most simple of all things. People who are happy with their choices, and others who have learnt to enjoy theirs. If am I a difficult person when it comes to taste, I make no apologies. I have an eclectic appetite for ideas, which tends to oscillate between innovation and common sense -not in exact order.

Tastes change as we grow older.  I presume as we seek new information in accordance with our need for a certain understanding. This was clear in my twenties when National Geographic was -to my mind- the best magazine in the world. So were Esquire, The Economist, The New Yorker, Skeptical Inquirer, New York and Harper's, all conveniently displaying articles that catered to my needs at that point in time.

...Until I found Monocle Magazine. To describe Monocle precisely would be to explain something between Foreign Policy and Vanity Fair. Providing a globalist perspective on international affairs, culture and design for wealthy and cosmopolitan readers, or those who aspire to become so.  Of which I can be either, or none.
